The 5th Franz Klammer hiking day offers snow hikers the opportunity to once again conquer the steepest piste in Bad Kleinkirchheim, the World Cup slope “Kärnten-Franz Klammer” with their hiking poles.
The fathers of the Franz Klammer hiking day LH Gerhard Dörfler, Franz Klammer and Otto Lobenwein, got the idea after a successful “Musiwandertag” – hiking day with musical accompaniment – to experience the World Cup piste without skiers for once.

 

This event attracts over 5,000 hikers a year into the Nockberg region on this national holiday. The king of the mountain himself Franz Klammer shows the World Cup run named after him and has a few tales to tell about his experiences in the world.
